if assholes could fly, this place would be an airport

Caribou
Silkscreened, 3 colors, 16" x 23"
The Record Bar, Kansas City, MO

Whew, 4:30am. The train running through my backyard can be heard for miles, but lucky for me I'll be in dreamland as soon as i quit moving. I've been doing so much printing that I can't feel my arms, but I know that they're there because something has to keep me propped up against my desk and my face off the keyboard. Destroyer poster and zine coming soon.

part time lovers and full time friends

Kimya Dawson
Screen print, 3 colors 12" x 23"
The Granada in Lawrence, KS

Welp, Kimya Dawson is blowing up like a can of pop in the freezer. Her songs always remind me of my childhood, and, although I never had to yank a tooth out of my head this way, I always thought it was a good idea.

It's rainy and windy, so i'm hiding in coffee shops today.

save, quick as a cat

This is for Illustration Friday, the topic is "save."
When I play ping pong I'm all for the diving saves. Just try me.

my ego is like my stomach

Cursive
Screen print, 3 colors 16" x 23"
Mojo's in Columbia, MO

Another poster for Mojo's, this time for Cursive. The show ended up selling out, and they played a really good set. Kimya Dawson poster to come, and hopefully my first mini-book/zine will be finished in a week or two. Or ten.

i'm gonna make it through this year if it kills me

Backstory: I needed a re-do. A clean slate, if you will. After graduating in December, I found a graphic designer position right away at a small firm in downtown Kansas City. It took only one week to realize it was sucking my soul out through my eyeballs, and six weeks to leave.

So now what? Drawing and screen printing at all hours of the night, and searching for those freelance jobs that are few and far between. My apartment is transformed into a factory and I am every spot in the assembly line.
